Head to head

Chatwoot vs Zendesk

Chatwoot and Zendesk sit at opposite ends of price and scale. Chatwoot is open source, from free for two agents to $99 per agent on Enterprise, with live chat, social channels, WhatsApp and a help centre, and it can be self-hosted. Zendesk is the enterprise suite: more channels including voice, deeper routing and admin controls, AI agents and a large app marketplace, at a higher price per agent. Zendesk reaches Amazon and Mirakl through connectors such as ChannelReply; Chatwoot documents no marketplace integration as of 27 September 2026, so they would take custom work on its API. For a small team focused on chat, or one that wants to self-host, Chatwoot; for a large team that needs everything in one supported suite, Zendesk.

How these numbers are built
  • Prices exclude VAT. “Per month” is a twelfth of the yearly price where the vendor sells yearly plans, otherwise the monthly price.
  • Every conversation gets at least one reply in the month, so it counts once for Miross and as one ticket or conversation elsewhere.
  • Connectors that bill per customer message are priced at 2 customer messages per marketplace conversation.
  • Dollars and pounds are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of 25 September 2026: 1 € = 1.1403 $ = 0.86045 £.
  • Charges from third parties, such as Meta or Twilio for WhatsApp, aren’t included on either side.
  • Miross is priced at its list prices.

What Miross does beyond the inbox

Support is one part of Miross. The same workspace runs the rest of a seller’s back office, and every part works from the same orders.

  • Orders

Orders from Amazon, your marketplaces and your own shop in one order book: what ships today, what is on hold and what already left.

  • Shipping labels

Labels made automatically by your rules, with your own carrier contracts or Sendcloud. Tracking goes back to the marketplace.

  • Invoices with EU VAT

An invoice for each order with the VAT it calls for: one-stop shop, home VAT, intra-community or local registration. Your numbering series and your template.

  • Prices per marketplace

A price for each marketplace and country, worked out from your costs and your margin rules.

  • Returns

A returns portal for your customers, the label from your carrier, reception by scanning with a phone and the refund.

  • Catalogue and purchasing

Products with their costs, suppliers and purchase orders in one catalogue.

  • Warehouse

A location for every product and pick routes for the day’s orders.

  • Mike

The assistant that works inside Miross: ask in plain words how the shop is doing and he answers from your own orders, costs and cases, drafts replies and prepares the work.

When to choose Chatwoot

  • Budget is tight, or you want to self-host.
  • Live chat and social messaging are your main channels.
  • You have developers for custom integrations.

When to choose Zendesk

  • You need voice, a contact centre and enterprise controls.
  • You want marketplace connectors such as ChannelReply.
  • You want vendor support and a large app marketplace.

Where Miross fits

  • If your customers write through Amazon and Mirakl marketplaces, Miross connects them out of the box and keeps your data in Germany.
  • The same workspace keeps your orders, makes shipping labels by your rules and issues invoices with EU VAT, and Mike, its assistant, prepares the work.

Switching from Chatwoot or Zendesk to Miross

  1. Request an invite; we set up the workspace with you.
  2. Connect Amazon through Miross’s relay address and each Mirakl marketplace with its API key; if a connector brings them into Chatwoot or Zendesk today, disconnect it there.
  3. Connect your support mailbox, and WhatsApp on Growth, through the sign-in wizard.
  4. Recreate the automations you rely on as Miross rules, and export the history you need to keep.

Chatwoot vs Zendesk

Questions sellers ask

What do Chatwoot and Zendesk cost for the same team?

For 2 agents and 500 conversations a month: Chatwoot ≈ €33.32, Zendesk ≈ €91.49, Miross €40.83. For 5 agents and 2,000: Chatwoot ≈ €83.31, Zendesk ≈ €407.42, Miross €165.83. Per month excluding VAT, billed yearly where offered; the examples above show how each figure is built.

Where does Chatwoot keep your data?

Chatwoot says its Cloud runs on AWS with servers in the United States, and you can self-host it wherever you like. Miross keeps your database, attachments and backups in Germany.

Can either handle Amazon messages?

Zendesk through connectors such as ChannelReply; Chatwoot documents no Amazon integration as of 27 September 2026, though its API can take messages from other systems. Miross connects Amazon directly.

Which is cheaper?

Chatwoot, by a distance: Startups is $19 per agent a month, against €19 for Zendesk Support Team (email and ticketing) and €55 for Suite Team. The totals above include what each needs for the example teams.

Is Miross only a helpdesk?

No. Support is one part of it. The same workspace keeps the orders from every channel in one order book, makes shipping labels by your rules with your own carrier contracts, issues invoices with EU VAT, sets prices per marketplace from your margin rules, and runs returns, the catalogue, purchasing and the warehouse. This page compares the support part.

What does Mike, Miross’s assistant, do?

Mike works inside Miross. Ask him in plain words what has to ship today, how much you earned yesterday or which products lose money, and he answers from your own orders, costs and cases. He drafts replies in the customer’s language and prepares the work that follows; a person confirms before anything is sent to a customer.

Does Miross make shipping labels and invoices for marketplace orders?

Yes. Orders from Amazon, your marketplaces and your own shop land in one order book. Your rules choose the carrier, on your own contracts or through Sendcloud, and the label is made by itself, with tracking sent back to the marketplace. Invoices carry the VAT each sale calls for: one-stop shop, home VAT, intra-community or local registration. Shipping is on every plan and invoicing from Growth.
